BARE WITNESS:
Acclaimed on its Melbourne premiere, Bare Witness is a remarkable piece of physical theatre. Drawing on actual experiences of photographers and correspondents, this electrifying multi-media play catapults us into the world’s combat zones, exploding the way we view the world’s humanity through the fragmenting lens of the media.
Landing in Sarajevo and joining a pack of seasoned war journalists, a rookie photographer sets out to capture the perfect image. Each photograph she shoots becomes a kaleidoscope of dreams, memories and emotions – thrilling, painful, and forever haunting.
From some of Melbourne’s most exciting contemporary theatre-makers, Bare Witness is a visceral experience that will change the way you look at the news.
“…an outstanding piece of physical theatre… ambitious, smart, beautifully realised” – theatrenotes
