ONE OF THEATRE’S GREAT LOVE STORIES

Cyrano de Bergerac is the play that brought the word ‘panache’ into the English language. An original and finely crafted romantic comedy; this is the tale of the beautiful Roxanne and the man who would love her, but for his outrageous nose.

This production captures the cockiness, volubility and wit of the swash-buckling Cyrano, as with aching heart and self-loathing he woos the feisty and lovely Roxanne on behalf of his shy and funny friend. The audience is swept up in the romance and the tragedy of this masterful production.

Winner of Sydney Theatre Critic Awards including Best Independent Production, Best Director and Best Actor this new adaptation of the French masterpiece, Edmond Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac, was written and directed by Damien Ryan.
